Favorite Books:
Petit Pays is a novel by Gael Faye, a French-Rwandan writer and musician. It is about Gabriel, a young boy living in Burundi in the early 1990s. The life of Gabriel starts out happy and peaceful, playing with friends and spending time with his family. But when political problems grow and civil war begins, his life changes a lot. The story shows how Gabriel experiences questions about identity, family, and loss. Gael Faye writes in a way that shows the beauty and sadness of Gabriel childhood during a difficult time. This book became popular because of its emotional story and simple view of a tough time in history. I chose this book because I had to present it in the French oral exam for my baccalaureate.
Favorite Films:
Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith (2005)
"Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith is the final film in the prequel trilogy, directed by George Lucas. This movie shows how Anakin Skywalker turns into Darth Vader, one of Star Wars most iconic villains. We see Anakin, once a hero, fall to the dark side and turn against his friends, including his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi. The final duel between them on the volcanic planet Mustafar is intense and memorable. The film is dark and dramatic, with impressive visuals and a storyline that explains how things connect to the first Star Wars movies.
